Turbo Fire review, Week 7 & 8
Week 7 and 8 are now complete of TurboFire which completes month 2.
The first 3 weeks were considered “Cardio” and the last week “Recovery”.
The recovery week consisted of 3 Fire 45 EZ classes, 2 Core 20 and a Fire 30, all finished off with Stretch classes afterward, which I just did the stretching on my own since most of it was Yoga, and at least for now I just don’t have the patience for Yoga. I don’t find it relaxing or beneficial unless it’s in a meditative state.
As with the rest of the month I drank my Shakeology daily though this month didn’t feel the need for using the Recovery Drink, but on the road did bring my P90X Protein Bars to snack on if I had a long day.
Though some of the workouts did have the ‘fire drills” it wasn’t to the intensity of a HIIT workout as next month will be.
So the general feeling of the past 2 weeks is I still feel that my abs are getting stronger and though doing some of the moves “low impact”, the intensity is still there and I do feel like my body is stronger as I continue the program. I also feel the Recovery week with the 2 “Core” classes also helped with feeling a difference in the abs and core.
So as week 9 is about to begin, month 3 for the first 3 weeks are HIIT-2 weeks and then week 12 will be another Recovery week.
I’m looking forward to doing the HIIT workouts again to see how I do with them now after being away from them for a month and also now instead of just the HIIT workout there are some additional workouts added such as after the HIIT a Sculpt or Tone class.
So with month 2 complete I lost another 2 pounds, and though it doesn’t sound like much, it is something and hopefully the numbers will keep moving in the right direction.
So till the next time

Turbo Fire week 5 & 6
Week 5 and 6 of TurboFire is complete and month 2 is a “Cardio” month, so though there were “fire drills” there is no HIIT workout this month.
So while progressing through the month I did lose another pound which now puts me at 35 pounds since last year and am feeling my abs becoming more defined.
I did change one of the 55 min workout for a 45 min workout and split some of the 2 workout days that have 30 min workouts to do one in the morning and one later in the day.
Along with more definition on the abs I am also finding it a bit easier to do some of the floor work that I was not able to do without alot of modification previously.
I really like the way Chalene uses the bands when doing the ab and resistance work. I haven’t seen the bands used the way she does in other workouts and feel it does make quite a bit of difference.
I’ve been continuing to journal and drink Shakeology as a daily routine and think the especially the journaling is making a difference in keeping the calorie count in check along with being accountable for what I’m eating.
So another 2 weeks till the end of month 2 then month 3 is once again a HIIT month so hopefully changing it up like that will help me continue to lose weight and build the muscle.
I’ve also made a You Tube video, my channel “nalsdc8s” if you care to check out the review on video.
So as the journey continues we’ll see how the results unfold
Till the next review

TurboFire week 4 Month 1-Complete
Month 1 of TurboFire is now complete which completes the first HIIT month.
In month 1 the first week was an “intro” week followed by 3 weeks considered HIIT 1 weeks, now going into moth 2 the next 3 weeks are considered “cardio” weeks followed by 1 week of Recovery.
Week 4 had the following workouts, Fire 45, HIIT 20 twice, Sculpt 30 Fire 55 EZ, Core 20 and Stretch 40, and finished up with FIre 45. The week overall went well, and the second time of doing HIIT 20 then Sculpt 30 I split those up to do 1 in the morning and the other in the afternoon due to time constraints.
This week also I forgot to bring my Chocolate Shakeology with me, but I did have some Greenberry, so ended up drinking that straight which is a challenge in itself, though I did survive
Overall for the month I lost 2 pounds which I’m happy with since I’ve been on a plateau for a number of months, so hopefully this is the start of something good.
As I begin month 2 weeks 5, 6 and 7 are considered “Cardio” weeks and week 8 is a “Recovery” week.
The workouts for the next 3 weeks are the same starting with Fire 55 EZ, Fire30+Sculpt 30, Rest, Fire 30+Tone 30, Fire 55 EZ, Fire 45 and finish with Core 20 + Stretch 40.
Though there are no HIIT classes scheduled that doesn’t mean there are no “Fire Drills”. When doing a HIIT workout you concentrate on just doing “Fire drills” however with the other classes you combine a cardio class with the “Fire drills” so the high intensity is still there.
I really haven’t sued the “Recovery formula” as much as I though I would have.
Even though I did work hard and continue to sweat for some time afterward, my muscles weren’t feeling sore so I just didn’t want to drink it for the sake of drinking it.
So the next journey begins with a new month and we’ll see where this takes me.
