How to Lose Weight Successfully and Easily

I want to add to that there is no “Magic Pill”

At times, it is hard to stay motivated. Your motivation and your interest may falter the longer you get into your weight loss journey. It was easy to start but it may seem hard to keep going. How can you gain inspiration from more motivated people around you? What factors are keeping them motivated and successful? One of the ways is to get involved in a “Challenge Group” so you know you’re not alone in your journey. Another would be to have an “accountability” or “success partner” so you can motivate each other and help keep each to her on track.

Before you start losing weight, you need to draw up a fitness plan and identify your goals. In other words you need to know your “WHY“. Does going down a few sizes appeal to you? Have you identified your weight loss goals? Do you think you would feel better if you had more energy and a healthy lifestyle?

Every week, write down the amount of weight that you have lost, but do not get on the scale everyday, just weigh yourself once a week. Keep a “Food Journal“.  Write down everything you eat to keep track of your food intake every day, even if it is a little bite. Recording what you have eaten makes you feel more accountable and you may be eating things but not “seeing” them and journalling will enable you to do this. In addition, this will help you make better choices when it comes to food and beverages.

But I’m Hungry

If you are too hungry, your ability to make good choices will be reduced and will cause you to eat potentially unhealthy items. Save money and avoid temptation by planning out your meals and bringing them with you before you leave the house. Pack your lunch based off of your plan, instead of dining out. You will save lots of money and get a better quality of food. The food you prepare for yourself will have far less fat, sodium and calories than anything you could buy at a restaurant or fast food eatery.

Of course if you’re on the road a lot this may be difficult and you need to be more aware of what choices you are making. Be sure to ask for the food the way you want it. Don’t be afraid to request something to make what you order a bit more healthier the way it is made is not very healthy.

What’s the secret to success?

The secret to successful, lasting weight loss is a combination of nutritious eating habits coupled with a good exercise program. It is essential to dedicate yourself to working out no fewer than three times weekly. If working out this often is difficult for you to do, then you must ensure you do exercises that you love. Try to get your friends involved by asking them to walk with you. Being outside for a nice hike can be a great way of getting exercise. If you love to dance, why not give a dance class a whirl and practice some new steps. There are also a wide variety of home workouts available, and for those that travel, if you have a portable DVD player you can take your exercises with you too.

As a Team Beachbody Coach along with helping and encouraging people with their fitness journey, I’m on the road a lot myself and I take my workouts with me. When I’m home I run a “Fit Club” which is an opportunity for others to come out try different Beachbody workouts such as P90X, INSANITY, TurboFire and many others, and it’s a chance for me to work out with a group of people instead of working out by myself all the time.

To rid yourself of temptations clean out your pantry of all junk food. If you have healthy foods to eat, you will be less likely to eat junk food. If you do not keep unhealthy foods in your home, you will be less likely to consume snacks that make you put on unwanted pounds.

Support:

Ask your friends to give you support. Although it is you that has to lose the weight, supportive people can provide you with the push you need. When you are feeling unmotivated, call up someone who can help to bring your spirits up. Having people available to offer support and encouragement can make a world of difference as you strive to meet your weight loss goals.
