Team Beachbody Summit 2011
Well the 2011 Summit has come and gone and it was a great event this year.
There were great announcements and alot of good information on the products and workouts.
So let’s get started with a review.
This years Summit was at the JW Marriott downtown LA, a very nice hotel, and they did what they could to make us feel welcome. With the number of people though, things did get a little chaotic at times.
I arrived early and decided to take a tour of the corporate offices again and some of the new things there were the office is expanding by another 40000 square feet because of the new coaches and the amount of sales that are being generated, larger offices are needed to keep things running smooth.
At the general session we had some great announcements:
1) New Shakeology flavor, “Tropical” to be on sale by the end of the year, though we did have a chance to try it. It first tasted like “bubble gum” then had another taste come through. Unfortunately they added other things to the Shake, so we didn’t get a chance to try it “straight” and get the “real” taste.
Some good news about the new Shakeology is there are some new ingredients in it which will make it lower on the glycemic index then the current flavors.
Some folks were yelling on the following day to mix it with the Chocolate and so had to try that and it was very good, but still need to try it straight to see how it really tastes.

The Summit is coming, the Summit is coming!!
It’s that time of year for the 2011 Team Beachbody Coach Summit.
This year once again it in LA but this time Downtown at the LA Marriott.
There’s supposed to be an estimated 2200 coaches attending, almost double the number from last year and this year and also this year the Summit sold out.
Along with getting together with old friends, we get to meet some new folks all on common ground to find out the latest products, innovations and news to help our businesses and be able to help “end the trend” of obesity.
The event besides consisting of workshops also gives us the chance to workout with the trainers in a huge workout along with breaking down in to smaller groups with your favorite trainer.
There are supposed to be some big announcements this year, and one of the much anticipated ones is what will be the new Shakeology flavor?
Though the Summit has not officially started, we’ve already had the opportunity to see and buy some merchandise such as shirts, jackets etc. and I also once again took a tour of the Beachbody facility which come to find out will be expanding by another 40000 square feet to accomadate the increase in sales, coaches and the business overall.
Beachbody was rated A+ by the BBB and also has been able to hold that rating, which the company is very proud about. It also will most likely be voted one the best places to work within the next few weeks once the results are released.
I have to say that even the short time I’ve been involved with the company and being a coach I’ve seen some very good changes, which says alot about the company when they actually “listen” to their “employees” so to say.
It should be a fun few days coming up and I’ll update the blog at the end of the trip with some of the news.

Turbo Kick
So myself along with about 40 others had a great time training in Turbo Kick.
Turbo Kick is a program that Chalene Johnson originally started for herself and it grew till Beachbody asked her to bring it video which was then the birth of Turbo Jam and Turbo Fire.
We had an awesome instructor Joie Walsh, who did an great job of not only teaching but making the class fun and made us feel comfortable and made the training as non stressful an event as possible. I guess having us throw our hands up in the air yelling “What…What” was part of that
So now along with working out to TurboFire I also have the certification to teach Turbo which is a goal I set for myself and now have been able to accomplish it.
Next step now as I incorporate it into my Fit Club is too just keep working it into my workout schedule too.
Till next time
