PB2 | Powdered Peanut Butter

Yes I did say “Powdered Peanut Butter“.  Now some may ask “why would you want powdered peanut butter”?  Well there are a variety of reasons but one of the biggest is clean up afterwards when having my Shakeology.

I was first introduced to PB2 by some friends and have loved it ever since.  Though you can use it in a variety of ways, the smoothie in my opinion is the best way to use it.

It comes in regular and chocolate flavored, which has some cocoa added to it, but the great thing is it’s only 45 calories for 2 tablespoons, which usually don’t even use that much in my shake. Regular peanut butter is 190 calories.  Below you can see information from the company page about PB2 and Chocolate PB2.

PB2 is manufactured by Bell Plantation which they also offer other products, such as peanut oil and crackers.

And in the case of PB2 and Chocolate PB2, you won’t find 85% of the fat calories of regular peanut butter.

I usually order it directly from the company by the case since that seems to be the best way price wise.  In the store it’s been about $6.00-$6.50 a jar and from the company it comes out to about $4.00 for a box of 12.  They also sell it in a box of 4 and packets.

If you check out their website, you’ll also see they have an large amount of recipes that you can use their product on which you may not have thought of from main courses such as Thai dishes to desserts.

For a peanut butter alternative PB2 in my opinion is worth trying.  I’ve tried the Chocolate PB2 and for me it was a little too sweet, but I love using the regular in shakes and if you love peanut butter I’m sure you will too.
