In my continuing review as a Beachbody Coach of the reviews of Beachbody products today will be my review of Revabs with Brett Hoebel, Beachbodys newest workout to be released and hasn’t even hit the infomercial airwaves yet.
I just received this workout and did a quick review of the materials, which as with all Beachbody products includes a nutrition guide, workout calendar, a Rev guide that tells you about the workouts and how to get started, a measurement tracker for before and after results and a fat measuring tool.
The first DVD is ABCENTRICS & HOW TO CAPOEIRA, this DVD explains how to breath properly while doing the workout and demonstrates some moves that will be done while working out.
For those who might not know, Capoeira is a martial art that is “disguised” in dance like movements. That being said, NO you will be not be dancing around the floor, but using some of these moves in order to help stretch and cool down and I’m sure in later workouts will be incorporating the moves a bit more to get those abs in shape.
The First workout is TOTAL STRENGTH, & MERCY ABS. The first is a 45 min workout and made of three rounds of resistance and cardio exercises. On the third round of exercises he adds a modification to each of the exercises to give it a little more resistance.
I really enjoyed the workout, worked up a good sweat, and he explained the moves clearly. The cast he had with him are folks that have been through the Revabs program and look like they are really getting into the workout and enjoying it which helps motivate me to keep it going.
The Mercy Abs is a 15 min workout, is a tough workout, especially when doing it right after the Total Strength workout. It once again is done in three rounds, and you really feel it in the abs with this one. There is one exercise that he does that hurts my tailbone when coming up, so I’m going to have to look for something to “cushion the blow” so to say when working that exercise.
By the way this workout was, if you follow the program and eat right, there’s no way you won’t notice a difference in your abs in a short amount of time.
I’d definatly recommend this workout to add to you’re Beachbody library of workouts.
There are modifications also shown in case you can’t keep up with all the exercises so that helps make this a good workout even if you haven’t worked out in awhile and wanted to get back into it.
