REVABS REVIEW PHASE 2 WEEK 1

Well Phase 2 of REVABS has now began and week 1 is complete.
The workouts in Phase 2 consist of
FAT BURNING ABS 40 min
POWER INTERVALS 30 min
STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE 40 min followed by MERCILESS ABS 15 min
and REV IT UP 40 min.

There were a few new exercises in Phase 2 and other moves were just modifications of what was in Phase 1, for example in Phase 1 you did “plank” position in Phase 2 you did a “walking plank”. there were more of the infamous “sprawls” that gave me problems in Phase 1.. well they’re back in Phase 2 and in more then one of the workouts.
Still more lunge type exercises but again modifications in order to work the abs at different angles to get the most out of the workouts.
I did like the change of pace with the moves, and also the way the rotation is because it will keep the exercises fresh.

When doing the REV IT UP, I liked the workout but didn’t feel like I got my heart rate up to what I should’ve been during the workout, so I’ll have to see how it goes next week to see if I can get my heart rate up to where it should be at the right times.

These workouts call for some heavier weights and less reps, which the problem with that is I’m doing these workouts on the road for the most part so it’s not going to be practical to be carrying weights with me, however I will be starting to carry a resistance band with me in order to get whatever benefits I can with modifications on the road that I can.

While home I’ll be continuing with drinking Shakeology which as a Beachbody Coach receive discounts on all Beachbody products and continuing to push play to keep working to get the best results I can.

REVABS REVIEW PHASE 1 COMPLETE

Well to day I finished Phase 1 of REVABS and though tired am proud of my accomplishment.
The reason for this is being on the road working and not missing a workout can be quite a challenge.
I’ve had to use some substitutes for weights at times and move some furniture around to be able to get the workouts in but met the challenge.

So, my feelings now that I’m finished with Phase 1.
I can see definition in my legs from all the squatting and lunge type exercises along with some definition in the arms and some around the abs.
Towards the end I was able to get through some of the moves better then when I started, so there definatley were some positive results, though still couldn’t get through a whole set of sprawls.
The floor work, though being able to get through it and “feeling it”, wasn’t able to get as high up getting my back off the floor that some of the cast was, but like I mentioned I did feel it in my abs so I know something was being worked.

As for some of the extras, Shakeology and P90X Protein Bars. Did they help out exercise wise, can’t say for sure because of not being able to stick with a steady schedule of working out time wise, but did like the Protein Bars.
As for Shakeology I have noticed my the my skin clearing up a bit since drinking it, whether I feel more energy or not, again with my crazy schedule can’t say for sure but for now will continue to drink it.
As a Beachbody Coach I’m able to take advantage of getting a discount on all Beachbody products too.

So what to do between Phase 1 and 2? Just going to relax a bit and maybe do a different workout just for something different for the next couple of days before starting Phase 2. I’ll take my stats before starting Phase 2 and see what if any changes from the beginning and what will be the starting point for the next phase.

That’s the update for now so till the beginning of Phase 2 and the next review

REVABS REVIEW WEEK 5

Well here I am week 5 complete and about to head into the home stretch for the end of phase 1 of REVABS.

So this week I decided to separate Mercy Abs and Total Strength since it was a bit too much for one workout, on the abs. Well it seemed to workout well, of course if I just reversed them around and did the Mercy Abs first then Total Strength it also would’ve worked out too, but silly me didn’t think of it for some reason till after I did it. Anyhow, with all the early workouts I did this past week was wearing on me, but wanted to follow the program on the road and make sure all the workouts were done, no matter how tired I was.

So my impressions so far, well as mentioned before, I definitely see definition in my thighs, from all the lunges involved and have seen some definition also in my abs, though don’t think there’s been much more weight loss even with all the cardio. The sprawls aren’t getting any easier, but keeping at it and combining them with regular squat thrusts to make sure the heart rate stays high.
Though I’ve made some modifications and used bands instead of weights for some of the exercises and on the road used some mods also in order to make the workouts as close and true to the workouts on the DVDs.

As of this writing I’ve already started week 6 and have 5 more workouts remaining in Phase 1, there are a few days off between phase 1 and 2 which I think I will take and if I do workout it will be a different workout altogether, and not too intense since I do want to ready for Phase 2.

I’ve also mentioned in earlier blogs about using the P90X protein bars and Shakeology to see if they had any effect energy wise in the workouts. Well to me no noticeable difference workout wise, but keep in mind I’m on the road 3-5 days a week and not on a regular schedule with that.
I have noticed that some of my skin does seem be a bit better, which I’ve heard in other testimonies about Shakeology, that it has helped folks with skin and hair.
As a Beachbody Coach I do get discounts on these products, and if anyone is interested in any of these products or being a coach feel free to check out the links or contact me.

So the next entry will be at the Phase 1 results and we will take it from there.
So till the next time
