Chalean Extreme Push Phase week 2 & 3

Week 2 and 3 of Chalean Extreme is complete and it’s been a couple of weeks of doing some mods in order to achieve the best results.
I’ve been using the bands for most of the workouts but have had to either double wrap them or cross them in order to get the correct resistance.
I will have to go out and get some additional weight for the next phase and next week since it is getting a bit light for some of the exercises.
One additional change in week 3 was on day 3 instead of doing Ab Burner, Extreme abs was substituted for it, and also since I was out at the Beachbody Summit, on the day of Burn It Off and recharge I ended up working out with Brett Hoebel from the Revabs workout which was awesome.

Also with the continuing of drinking Shakeology I got my bloodwork back and got to see the results from drinking it and everything was back to where it should be.
Most people would say it’s just from the losing of the weight, but looking back for the last 5 years, the numbers say otherwise.
It wasn’t just from losing the weight because my weight varied over that time and this was the only time everything was “normal”.

Also I brought along some P90X recovery formula and some of P90X protein bars for snacks help out while on vacation and at the summit

So next week will be the last week of the Push Phase and we shall see how things unfold. I feel there won’t be much weight change, but as mentioned previously I can see definition change, so we shall see.

Chalean Extreme .. “Push Phase” Week 1

Well I just completed week 1 of the “Push” phase of Chalean Extreme which is the second phase in the workouts.
The workouts were set up the same way as in the “Burn” phase of doing Push 1, rest day then Push 2, Burn Intervals and Ab Burner, Push 3 then Burn It Off & Recharge.

This phase has you working on doing 6-8 reps max which means going heavier on the weights. As for week 1, there were a few exercises that I will heavier next week, but instead of buying heavier weight I think I’m going to do those exercises with the bands instead. Push 1 had 2 exercises that I will adjust, Push 2 was fine, but Push 3 was the one that I really could’ve used the heavier weight.

I am continuing to see changes in my arms and am feeling stronger with the slow push-ups and hopefully this will continue even with the little break in the schedule this week because of the Beachbody summit. I’ll work on sticking to the schedule the best I can, but depending on the workouts at the summit and available time will dictate how the week goes.

The thing I really like is these workouts as in phase 1 is that they are all in that 35 min range which makes it easy to get them done on the road, so my selection to use these as an “on the road” is working well.

I’m also continuing with my Shakeology regimen along with taking the recovery formula depending on the workout and having the P90X protein bars on the road with me as snacks.

Well next update will be after the Beachbody Summit

Till then

Chalean Extreme/ “on the road workouts” / Phase 1 complete

Week four is complete of Chalean Extreme and the completion of Phase 1.
This week I was not able to bring my computer on the road with me, so I had to do my own workout which I did with the help of the “worksheets” and resistance bands, and the intervals part I also did some of the exercises I remembered along with other moves that I knew would get my heart rate up.

Now this week I changed it up a bit with the resistance bands to hopefully relieve some of the tightness I feel in my neck sometimes. I actually used a little lighter resistance band because even though I was able to do the moves with the heaver bands, I felt using the lighter band enabled me to keep better form, and less strain which I’m hoping means less pain, but since I only tried it once so far, can’t really say it made big difference yet.

I also continued with my Shakeology and found with as tired as I was that it did seem to “pep” me up after drinking it and brought the P90X protein bars on the road with me again to have something decent to snack on through the long days. The P90X Recovery formula, I left at home this time, but while I was drinking it after the workout it did seem to help also with the soreness.

So results so far? Well nothing big number wise, however I definitely notice my arms, as in biceps and triceps are “firming” up and legs are still staying in a “conditioned” look also.

As I progress now into the “push” phase I’m hoping that results will be more evident by the end of the month and also during this phase I will be heading out to the Beachbody Summit at the end of the month which should be fun getting the chance to workout with Chalene :) and the other trainers.

The change for this phase is to go heavier and where in phase 1 the focus was 10-12 reps phase 2, 6-8 reps is the focus, so we’ll see what new things phase 2 will bring.

That’s a wrap for this “chapter”, remember if you have any questions on this workout or any Beachbody products feel free to contact me and remember as a Beachbody Coach you can save 25% on all Beachbody products.
